Understanding Escortdeck

After a few weeks of email exchanges, we agreed to being interviewed by Davide Turrini of prestigious Italian newspaper "Il Fatto Quotidiano". We wanted to set the record straight after the Daily Mirror's article of a few months ago, in which we were accused of being sexist and pimps.

Why did we choose an Italian newspaper? Well, four of five people behind Escortdeck are Italians living in London - here we go, we said it. Moreover, "Il Fatto" is one of the leading newspapers in Italy and is renowned to have a progressive voice, and we thought this could help given the subject.

We talk briefly about the history of Escortdeck: from the night we came up with the idea of building a Search Engine for Escorts was born, to the soft-launch of late 2015; from the steady development of new features, to the motivations and the challenges that keep us going.

Escortdeck organizes a huge amount of publicly available, highly-demanded content and makes it easily searchable and reachable to the users from within one single search.

We then explain once again how Escortdeck works: it organizes a huge amount of publicly available, highly-demanded content and makes it easily searchable and reachable to the users from within one single search.

By doing so, we want once again to empathize that we are not "pimps", as we do not "control" any escort, we do not "arrange" meetings, we do not "take a slice" of the earnings of any escorts.

We received via social media from both the Sex workers and the users of our website.

We also talked about the more liberal and organised way of facing the subject of prostitution in UK compared to Italy and good feedback we received via social media from both the Sex workers and the users of our website.

We commented about an interesting TED talk about the controversial subject of sex workers legislations that really inspired us.

Other subjects include future projects and plans for Escortdeck, security improvements and of course the Brexit topic come out. We conveyed that is too early to see any repercussion on Escortdeck at the moment.

Thanks to Davide Turrini for taking the time to talking to all of us and trying to understand what Escortdeck is all about.
